Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Aerisyl had entered the swampy town carefully, boots pressing into damp, mossy earth as fog clung to the crooked shacks. She ducked into a tattered tent, candlelight flickering across her pale porcelain skin and sharp, composed features. Strands of silver-blonde hair fell loosely around her face as she sat on a worn cushion, tracing a finger along the hilt of her sword more out of habit than threat.
 

“I left the high elven lands,” she said softly, her voice calm, “not to abandon my people, but to seek answers that pride and tradition could not give.” Her deep green eyes moved through the dim interior. “There are things stirring in the world… things I cannot ignore.”
 

Her story had begun in the northern highlands, where her clan prized honor and appearance above all else. Trained in both combat and diplomacy, Aerisyl learned discipline early, yet she questioned the rigid customs and quiet conflicts of her people. She saw decisions made for pride alone bring needless harm, and she wondered if her skills were meant for more than ceremony.

“I need to understand,” she whispered to herself, “to see what I can do… and what must be done.”
 

She remained seated, patient and alert, her modest blue-and-grey attire blending into the shadows. Every measured glance carried the discipline of a High Elf, tempered by quiet resolve and a growing need to uncover the truth.
