You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"Ah-, well," you begin, eyeing the hag cautiously. A curious hand drifts to your chin as you scratch in idle thought. A neutral smile spread as your lips curled upward, taking a second to push the robes beneath you into a position to properly sit before the hag. "I suppose it is only fair to expect the wonderous stories of Kindroth Aredeth'ylla. Though, your expectations... Curious. Hm."
The idle smile remained upon your face as you stared toward the hag, though you could almost feel her gaze piercing through the facade. Nevertheless, you continued on.
"I hail from the Principality of Celia'nor. A scholar- in the making, at the least. Time sees myself venturing out for studies from the Arcane Academy. My family has long put its magical services to use with the local military, and magical services entail magical research to further those services." A short breath is drawn as you explain, your hands finding their ways toward your criss-crossed kneecaps as you sit tall.
"Many moons have been spent far and away, studying and observing. It is time to move onward. To explore elsewhere. To see what secrets there are to discover, for I know there are many." You let the silence linger as you stare forward toward the hag, the nightly creatures beginning to converse with the quiet air as you await the hag's response, if one were to come.
