    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Personally, I like to add weaknesses and flaws to spice things up. If I'm being honest, I just follow along with what others want when it comes to role-play and I like to communicate just so we know what we're going to do and how to get there.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: It's sort of like dramatic irony and it kind of blocks the flow if you ask me. If it wasn't information that came out naturally in the role-play, it just makes it annoying and gives way to OOC moments. It can also just be annoying because the other person may have wanted to take time to reveal the secret information but it was just spoiled.

Physical Description: 5'1'' short, dark hair, yellow eyes, blue, brown, and white clothes
Roleplay Scenario:

Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit.”

She gestures at a cushion. 

“Tell me your story.”

((How do you respond?))

You sit as instructed, twiddling with your thumbs. 

"My story? Well, what's there to tell? I'm docking for the night before I'm headed off back with the crew." 

You bite your tongue, should you say more?

"I mean, it's a lovely town, I may stay longer than a night...mayhaps wait until the next docking season here before I go back to sea. Is it weird--a Wood Elf in water?"

Hi there! As you can see, your app is almost ready! Just a few changes you need to make, but don’t worry - you are doing great!

  • Your roleplay scenario needs to be at least 6 sentences minimum. Including character dialogues and actions written in 3rd POV. 

EX: John grimaced upon the dirty cushion but took a seat anyway. “Hello ma’am, good evening…”

  • Lack of story-telling! Even if your character doesn’t talk about their past, please include some information regardless. You can talk about their childhood growing up, friends, families, etc.

 

You’ll be given 48 hours to correct the changes above. Once you are done correcting, please contact me!

 Unfortunately, your 48 hour editing period has expired.. However, don’t fret, you are free to reapply immediately, just remember to edit and change all that is listed below <3
