    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming, in the context of RP, is roleplaying with information that the player has received out of character. For example, if I learned of a player's plan through discord, and I used that information to sabotage said plan, that would be metagaming.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: In RP, powergaming is the use of RP move that takes control outside of the other party, such as "John struck Harry, knocking him unconscious" as opposed to "John threw a punch at Harry, aiming land a decisive blow." However, this is not the only form of powergaming, as it can also take the form of achieving feats that would be impossible for a player's character, such as jumping 100 meters in the air as a normal human.
