    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming, often also referred to simply as 'Meta', is the use of information acquired out-of-character, in-character.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is the carrying out of unrealistic, unfair, or godly actions. This includes forcing emotes on other characters, whether inside or outside of combat, performing unrealistic physical or mental feats, such as a Halfling easily besting an Olog in single combat, ignoring the effects of a mental disability, or ignoring the effects of magic, and otherwise acting godly, such as being invincible and possessing unfair and lore-breaking powers.

  • Your Metagaming and Powergaming Definitions are on the right track, though they’re not quite there. Take another look at our Wiki’s definitions for help, and I recommend including examples so I can tell you fully understand!

  • Your Character Biography is missing some lore references! Please remember to include at least two! These can be major events, wars, religion, etc. Here are some links that may help you find some!

  • Your Character Biography is a bit short. Please include at least 10 sentences. If you don’t know what to add, I recommend thinking more about your character’s backstory. Where are they from, what were their parents like, why are they how they are…?

  • Your Personality Traits/Quirks need to include at least one negative trait. This can be anything that is a fault in their personality. 

  • Your Personality Traits/Quirks are a bit lacking. If you’re lost on what more to say, think of their fears, how they act around new people, etc.

  • Your Roleplay Scenario Response is too short. It must be at least four sentences long and include at least one piece of dialogue and one action. 

  • Please fix all grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors in your application to the best of your ability. I recommend using a free grammar checker such as Grammarly.
