Lacie beamed at the gentleman and pulled down the shawl wrapped loosely around her head. "Oh! Had I known how welcoming the people would be, I would have come this way much sooner, sir!" The handle of a round basket lay nestled in the crook of her arm, which she used to heft the basket up to rest on her hip. "Well," she paused, scrunching her nose for just a second, "I s'pose you could call it an adventure, for someone like myself. Why, with how you greeted me it must be obvious I'm quite new to all this. You wouldn't happen to know of any adventure around here?" She snorted to herself, only half joking. If only it were that easy.
