A simple and optimistic woman, Lacie Mirnaldi grew up an only child in a small Highlander village within the Kingdom of Norland, valuing at most her family and the Red Faith. She was never much of a studious girl, preferring to gallivant through her father's fields as a child and taking on many laborious chores as she aged. Lacie was accustomed to and loved life on a farm. Her father welcomed this help and enjoyed watching his daughter develop into a strong and dependable woman. Her mother, however, had hoped she would grow up to find a place within the Heartlands, either by her merit or through marriage, believing there to be more opportunity for life there. Content with her life at home in the fields, these nudges would lead to many arguments and consequent nights away from home to escape the friction. Because of the conflicting desires of her parents, Lacie struggled to find purpose and had trouble developing a direction that would both satisfy them and herself. To get away from this, at the mid-age of 19, Lacie left her parents and childhood village to build a life on her own terms. Being the hearty woman she was, she had no trouble with travel and picked up work along the way. At this point, Lacie continues her travels in hopes to find a suitable place to have her new beginning, perhaps manage some land or tend to a bar.
