Hiroka is a young halfling, who is a little over average height. He was once left alone in his house while his parents went out to a friend's farm. During the few hours they were away, a thief lurked into the house, disguised as a cat. These creatures were quite common around the town, and the disguise allowed the thief to slip right by. When the thief came out, to try and find some cash that Hiroka's father may have left behind, he was spotted. Hiroka, being young at the time, had no idea what the man was doing, and was amazed at how he cloaked himself. The thief was able to bribe him with a small knife he carried around, and nobody was ever told of what happened. Ever since, Hiroka has been dying to learn arcane magic, especially the sub-class of illusionary magic.

They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
