Ester(AKA 'Es') Durothil the high elf was born November 28th, 1553, in a cottage within the high, East Peak. Her mother had sadly died of child birth, however, her father had loved her twice as much. Gustof - her father - had tried to make-up for the absence of Mabel - Ester's mother. Although, Ester had never learned to sew and weave and do other sorts of that, Ester had still learned to do what a mother could've done. Ester in her free-time had read novels to herself describing how to cook different meals. From ages 0-50 (0-10), life had been great. However, as the winters became much worse and deathly bitter, the worse her father became. He began drinking all sorts of alcohol. He took trips to the villages just to bring home for the evening. The cottage leaked of alcohol. He would skip meals, stay up all night, just drinking. Some nights, Ester was too scared to even step foot into the cottage leaving her to sleep in their old shack. One cold, devastatingly dark night, Ester went for a walk. As usual, her father was tipsy, stumbling everywhere. Now, Ester wasn't really sure what happened this night as she was on her walk, but all she could assume was that her father must've been drinking - right next to the fireplace. As Ester began her was back to the cottage, she could smell a faint drift of smoke. And then it appeared. Smoke was everywhere, all throughout the highlands. Fire became more and more clearer. As Ester raced father towards the house, it became more visible that her father was in trouble. Without stopping to think, Ester raced inside to retrieve her father. Ester came upon her father lying on the ground. She then scooped him up and raced out of the house. Almost there, out to the clear, then boom! The staircase had collapsed. Ester could feel a great pain along the arch of her back, but she dared not to stop. Finally, they were out of the house. As Ester placed her burnt father along the ashy grass, she could tell it was too late. That day, November 27th, 1563, her father had died. If you couldn't already figure out, Ester had an awfully lonely birthday. As the wound on her back began to scar up, it was obvious Ester had to leave this area. She had to leave the highlands, leave her home where she had lived her whole life in, leave to a protected place - where she could easily get herself clothes and food. Ester had missioned on towards the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska where she now calls her home. Although she speaks to no one about her past, she still thinks about what she could've done in order to save her intoxicated father. Ester's mission is to earn honor for her family, and make a name for them. She practices everyday with different weapons left on the streets. She reads about tactic plans in order to become more aware of battling. Sure, she isn't the most talented warrior, but she is still determined to bring great honor for the Durothil family.
