Saoirse was born within the silver canopies of Haelun’or, where the rigid expectations of High Elven society shaped much of her early life. Her mother, a scholar devoted to astronomy and ancient texts, encouraged discipline and refinement, while her father served as a respected botanist who cultivated rare flora within the city’s gardens. Raised among marble halls, libraries, and carefully manicured groves, Saoirse grew to admire beauty in all its forms, though she quietly struggled beneath the perfection demanded of her. Unlike many of her kin, she found herself more captivated by poetry, music, and wandering the forests beyond the city’s walls than by politics or scholarly prestige. As she matured, Saoirse became known for disappearing into the quieter corners of the realm for days at a time, returning with flowers woven into her pale hair and journals filled with fragmented sketches and verses. Though gentle and courteous, she often felt detached from the expectations placed upon her within Haelun’or, believing her spirit too restless for the life already chosen for her. After years of feeling confined beneath tradition and reputation, she ultimately departed from her homeland to wander the realms of Aevos in search of inspiration, meaning, and experiences untouched by the suffocating order of her upbringing. Though she speaks fondly of her home, Saoirse now travels as a quiet dreamer, drawn toward forgotten gardens, moonlit coastlines, and the strange beauty hidden throughout the world.
The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

Saoirse hesitated at the doorway before quietly stepping inside, her pale gaze drifting toward the candles that floated weightlessly throughout the shack. She gently brushed an auburn curl behind her ear and lowered herself into the offered chair with careful grace, though her posture remained cautious. “I come from Haelun’or,” she answered softly, her voice smooth as silk despite the uncertainty lingering beneath it. “Though truthfully… I do not think I ever belonged there as fully as I was meant to.”
Her fingers tightened briefly around the folds of her cloak as she glanced toward the dim windows of the shack, listening to the wind scrape against the old wood outside. “The world beyond my home always seemed far more alive than the marble halls I was raised within,” she admitted. “I want to see its beauty for myself — the forests untouched by gardeners, the songs sung in taverns, the stories hidden in forgotten places.” Saoirse finally lifted her eyes back toward the old woman, a faint, wistful smile crossing her lips. “As for what I hope to become… perhaps simply someone who has truly lived.”
