How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: If you get the chance to roleplay with someone else, it is important to make sure that you don't force them to do an action. If you are fighting you can't tell them how you hit them, you instead need to outline how you attempted to strike them. After this, let them do the damage on themself. As a small tender goblin, I must recognize I have many vulnerabilities in my swamp
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: My character has a concoction of mental illnesses that affect their critical thinking. As an extention of my real life self, I put these vulnerabilities into practice. [no father figure] If I don't accurately portray these attributes of my character, it takes away from everyone else's roleplay.

You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Example: Sits down heavily in a chair and answers the question: "My name is Laneiro, I have been pushed to the fringes of society due to my Polio. This led me to become trans and my father left my mom because he didn't like me. I have had to fight for most of my life, I grew up in an orc neighborhood and they didn't accept goblins. They would bully me and punch me and make fun of me, but it only made my resolve stronger. Being the smallest person in every room I learned physical strength isn't everything. I can use my wits to get what I want and turn orcs against each other." Laneiro adjusts herself in her chair takes a deep breath and then continues: " I lacked self confidence and thought there was something wrong with me. When I was ten I felt uncomfortable in my body in a way I couldn't describe. At first I started to eat less but that didn't help. Around this time I started looking towards the models of orc society and goblin beauty and realized that maybe Krug put me here for a different purpose. I then realized I had a unique gift; I am a goblin who can change the world and herself. I am Laneiro, and I'm not sorry."

"Oh, I just, uh…" you stutter, tensing up. You eye the crone, then back outside the tent. For a moment, the air thickens with anticipation, until…

Unfortunately, we did not feel comfortable considering your application due to several design aspects of your character and their backstory. We fully support the LGBTQ+ community, however we felt the design of your character was an immensely poor representation of an LGBTQ+ character, and would not do justice to the wonderful members of our community.
