    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: When one uses information their OOC knowledge in application to their character who would not reasonably have said knowledge.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: The carrying out of an unrealistic or otherwise unreasonable action through use of RP or game characteristics.

I would start by looking at the man up and down before crafting a response to match someone of his social status, "My friend I am here to look around. Maybe I can find some work here!" I say in a polite tone and bow slightly. "I have done work here and far, do you know of anyone who seeks the assistance of one like me?" Depending on his response I would begin to ask him more about himself and see if I could perhaps befriend him to start building a network of connections in this fine place.
