    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is when a player uses real life knowledge (or out of character knowledge) when the character would have no way of knowing such things, for example a person who knows calculus roleplaying a child character with knowledge of how to do calculus and other mathematics however never having learned such in character.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is when you force your character's actions upon another person's character, or if you make your character do something that they wouldn't be able to do. For example I would would make my character (a farfolk) sprout out wings and fly which my character cannot do.

My character would respond by saying that he is looking for an adventure but he can do so on her own. He would then give the gentleman a kind smile then walk away.
