Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"Oh, I just, uh…" you stutter, tensing up. You eye the crone, then back outside the tent. For a moment, the air thickens with anticipation, until The traveler stood before the hag and tightened his cloak, his hands trembling as he gathered his courage. He took a slow breath and said, “I was once a healer in a riverside village, helping anyone who came to my door.” He stepped closer to the fire and knelt, poking at the embers with a stick as he continued his tale. “When the plague came, I tried to save them all, but my remedies failed, and the villagers turned on me.” He lowered his head and clenched his fists, remembering the fear and anger in their eyes. “They burned my home and cast me out, calling me cursed,” he whispered. He finally looked up at the hag, meeting her gaze, and added, “I’ve wandered ever since, hoping to find a way to make amends or a place where I belong.”
