He grew up in a rich town uphill. His parents separated when he was small, but remained friends. His father owned a small bar where he worked. Tired of living without much challenge he joined the army and was sent to war. He spent most of his time as a prison guard and saw very little action (Remember he was still young and untested), but he learned how to use basic weapons such as swords and bows. Later he was sent to fight in more wars and thus gained more experience. The desire to travel grew while in the army. After the Wood Elves were victorious in the war, they cut back on their military and Theodric desided to buy his own house.
Two things no-one will ever forget are that he's objective and calm. Of course he's also friendly, upright and faithful, but those are often overshadowed by tendencies of being destructive as well. His objectivity though, this is what he's most popular for. There are many times when other elves count on this and his flexibility when they're in need of support. Nobody's perfect of course and Theodric has plenty of lesser desired aspects too. His disruptive nature can cause things to heat up and beyond what people are willing to deal with. Fortunately his calm nature helps prevent most of these grievances.
