    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Meta gaming is when you give your character more knowledge then he should actually know so you wanna build up to the story.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Power gaming is if you have a weapon that is too strong and has not got into a roleplay and only cares about how strong everything is and does not look at role play you are a power gamer this is not nice for roleplay

Something that may help you while you make these changes, is the server wiki page. This area of information holds various definitions and other things such as lore, which can account for a great deal of help. Something else that may help you is the Metagaming & Powergaming definitions.
