    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Interesting backstories can somewhat explain some light things tho it may be preferable to choose feasible actions and comon sense while offering to other players fair treatment.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Having informations you shouldn't have can offer unfair advantages and ruin the game of others suffering the consequences of what you do out of this knowledge.

Character Name: Notharran Axeflayer
Character Race: Dwarf
Character Gender: Male
Character Age: 21
Physical Description: Young cave dwarf with long and brown hair. A long beard and strong hands. Green eyes and not taller than an usual dwarf.
Roleplay Scenario:

Notharran comes from a small baron-like clan turned mainly toward fighting intruders of all kinds in the depth of the caves they inhabit hardly. A simple warrior from blood and                                                  family, Notharran was never much of an adept in the art of words and still feels better acting out than ingaging in long plethora.

The last thing Notharran remember is the pursuit of a small group of orcs. Led by his lieutenant, Grundal, along a small winding path a little outside the montain caves they called home. Trapped in an ambush Notharran saw most of his clan membres falling while he was knocked out from up a rock, left to fall to his death in the Silver river. He awakes with the sour realisation that his clan, well most of it anyway, is gone. Grieving, he is to try and find his way back home despite a surrounding that leaves him guessing of where he may have derive to. Hells, even the montains seems unfamiliar...
