    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: I do my best to stay 'realistc' and fair with everyone. I feel powergaming is quite easy to avoid doing as a player by just not doing it.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Metagaming can disrupte fair gameplay by giving people unfair advantages due to having outside infromation/knowledge that their character shouldn't have.

Roleplay Scenario:

Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

((How do you respond?))

"Oh, um hello..." His eyes dart around the tent in an attempt to see any potental threats. Cautiously, he makes his way toward the hag and sits beside her.
