    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is when information is obtain outside the game and is then implemented inside the RP. For example, If my area is under attack and I message my team IRL to come on and defend then that is metagaming due to their characters not actually having information on being attacked.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is when a player gives themselves powers beyond the game's in RP ability and using it to have more control over other characters. For example, if I was a powergamer, I could go round getting into battles and saying "My sword takes off your head because of my skill". This behaviour ruins RP.

Wemlis-Bemlis looks at the well-dressed man in disgust looking up and down at him.

"My sons need sustenance, you will provide this?" - Wemlis-Bemlis

The man looks at her in confusion giving her a big fake smile.

"Of course, right this way!"

He takes the family to a rich stall with beautiful food laid out neatly. She looks at him once more vacantly. He flashes another smug smile.

She looks past the man's shoulder and sees a worn-down stall full of grubby food further along with no customers and a seller looking rough and dirty.

She leads the family past the man and heads off towards the new stall.
