You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
"I am Faye." He responds. No tremble in his hands, no unease whatsoever. "And you?" The Hag only turns to face him, and whispers,
"I am all who cannot see, the one untold by man, I am Eris, betrayer of Dreams..." Here Hark sees what he didn't notice before, a selection of blades, hammers and ax's all lined up, on a rack by the cooking pot.
"Who do you mean harm to? I'd rather not face another foe today." He removes his helmet, to reveal a gaping wound covered in blood over his eye. Eris simply beckons over to him, and says
"Allow me to hone my skills further, help you?" He walks over, but as he comes within arms reach, he feels a blade between his ribs. In instinct, he draws the blade on his hip, and years of knight Training come to mind. Years of service as a Captain, all the Allies he made. In one swing, the Hags head falls to the floor, along with the arm he held the blade. He looks down at her only to realise its looking hack at him. "You've made a grave mistake fool. I will be where you are unguarded, and you will Fall, Captain Hark of Velen." He simply turns and leaves.
