In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Powergaming can be a vague line when it comes to strong but a rule I like to use is. Can you do it in real life? And can an average person do this? Or if a trained person can do it, often would it taken them to master and use/do this particular thing. This, in a sense sets a base line or limit to what a character can do. Of course, everyone has their talents or is born differently but you should always do your research. This is to keep everything fair. People with unfair advantages is not only annoying, but completely confusing. If a character is doing all these crazy things, there could be no way to counter it. Even further if a person is doing things that realistically can't be done, it's even more confusing and annoying. This leads to arguments, and no one wants to deal with that. Roleplay is usually a place where people come to escape or relax. That means not dealing with something that is unrealistic and trying to think of a counter. If there even is one, which is something no one wants to do.
In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Information can be anything big or small but your character in character should not know. This can ruin roleplay in a very drastic way, not knowing something can be very important. It ruins out of character plan and ruins the roleplay experience for others. This also can be annoying, if someone should not know something and metagames, it means that your character either is involved in a different way or should not be involved. It can ruin playing for other people as roleplaying is also about being realistic. Not god=like being came down to tell you someone is in trouble. Saving everyone or knowing everything can be boring and creates no real character development. People should lose and create new characters, not all the time but creative spirit is important to have. A character who may not know too much can develop in a way you couldn't even imagine. Metagaming can ruin that if everything you know out of character is copy and pasted into that one character.

Character Name: Victious Foxcio
Character Race: Adunian
Character Gender: Male
Character Age: 26
Physical Description: A male dawning dark robes which dragged around him. A slim and semi muscular stature standing straight at six foot-two inches. He seemed suspicious.
Roleplay Scenario:

Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

((How do you respond?))

A man entered, the squeaky door creaked in its insufferable frequency while a man in dark robes walked. Silent steps followed while he looked at the hag. Slipping through crowds of drunks, his hands moved. Taking a drink and piece of bread as he sat down. "You rely on your perceptions and prophecies, if you know me. Then why ask when the question already has its answer?" He looked at the hag. Dull dirty eyes, scorned in their silent gaze. He took a bite before he let out a long exhale.

"I come searching for those who defy materials. Accepting what cannot be seen." He muttered. Nothing more was said until the slight of his hand slid out a bag containing small coins "I wish to be pointed int he direction of where I can seek what cannot be seen." He stared, the silence forcing his hand. That isn't what the hag asked. She wanted a story "I come from the temples hidden, raised by trees and wind. Forced to give up materials and spread word of opening the eyes clouded by hate. No charity but it is a duty and oath I have taken." He fixed the robes around him as he continued "It is a quest, and I prefer to stick to it. Not be tempted by material things and help those who are in need." he glanced at the hag. The story was partly true. He did grow up there and he was taught that, but he intended to spread it a different way. Twisted words, a natural talent as he continued to spout "I was driven out of my temple for less than pleasant requirements. Knowledge, I seek it for it is what one cannot see."

"Some cannot accept what can aid them. If it be holy or not, bad or not. Morals are a complexity which is a compromise, and I wish to break that." He finished his bread and drink. Leaning back, his head slightly tilted while his eyes burned into the woman in front of him "Do you think materials should be valued? When there is so much that could replace them." Getting up the robed male took another bread from a drunk, coming back "Materials... Are like plants. Nice to have, not necessary when it comes to things like life. Skills, knowledge, things that are required to bring peace. Used as cover in battles, a material for houses. I have not lived in a house and I am fine."  He finished, eating at the bread while he stared. Long, dull eyes stared at the hag. As the subtle silence filled the area of them both. "I like to think you have the answers I search for yet refuse to answer if I were to ask a query.  So, I won't try. Have I entertained your story?" A longing to escape rested on his features. Each moment it increased drastically.

"I won't entertain this further, I ask you know my frustration and ease my suffering by guiding me to where I must go. Such knowledge you have, I beg you use to assist me. In turn I shall assist back. In anytime you wish of course." He smiled, an uncomfortably small smile. Each muscle was tense and forced as he squinted his eyes to make it appear genuine. Perhaps it was known he was fooling, perhaps it was the way he wanted to sound genuine but lacked the vocal tone for it to sound that way. A list of contradictions to his words were set and it only gave time to know which was which.

Greetings, applicant! As you can see, your app is now pending. This means we just need a few changes before it can be accepted!

Changes required:

- Please include backstory in your roleplay scenario, whether written as dialogue or a memory action. If you're struggling of things to include, consider what you might ask your character: What was his homelife like? What hobbies does he have?

- Adunians do not have solid coloured eyes. Please alter your skin to reflect this!

- The search for 'materials' and being able to 'see what is unseen' is vague and implies magical ability. Please give a more comprehensive definition of such, even if it's not in dialogue!

You have 48 hours to correct the changes above. Once you are done, please contact me!
