    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: It is when your character knows what you know even if the character would not have learned this any other way.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: It is when you give your character powers that would make it unfair and unreal.

I would look at him with a straight face and say "I am looking for some information on Dhessabo Erzeth" He would then back up a little after I take off a cloak to show my bow, sword and small bag with some survival equipment in it. "Never heard of him" said the well dressed gentleman than he would point to a small shop and says "If you are looking for some information on someone I would look there." Then I would walk to the small shop.
