Luthais had been living alongside his family in a rather small town, located around the city of Frostfall -up until the foreseen, yet unavoidable day came; orcs had stormed their beloved settlement. They burnt down everything that they could possibly seem to grasp, including his family's house. All of the townsfolk were slaughtered that day except for Luthais; that's what had been told in bystanders and wanderer's stories. However, no one knows for certain who managed survived the bloodbath caused by the orcs that day.
He can't but to feel enormous guilt for what happened that day - "an unaware child shouldn't be held responsible for such acts of pure evil". Although this is what brought him the courage and will to become a master in both archery and swordplay that he now had become after more than hundred years of training and battle experience.

She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
