    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: You keep a grounded character in mind; it's not fun to be powerful if it interferes with others' fun. Basically, it's not fun to be powerful. I want to be a simple commoner. Because RP is just about interacting with others.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: It can ruin fair roleplay by spoiling events and interfering with how they play out.

Physical Description: Tieron is a 5'10 160 human male. He's skinny and has brown hair and light eyes. He wears a simple outfit, as he only has one, as a poor peasant
Roleplay Scenario:

Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

My name is Tieron Weatherly, and I'm a Heartlander from Valfleur. I grew up with my father, but when I was 14, he died of illness. I've been fending for myself since then. I'm poor, tired, and hungry. I'm here because I couldn't stand the city anymore. I want to explore and see the world. And I want to make it through my life without hurting anyone or anything. I've seen too much evil and cruelty to think of violence. I want to know why people do what they do. And maybe on my journey, I will try to make something in this world better.

  • Please make sure to use actions in your backstory/roleplay scenario. This is just to ensure we know what you are doing!  When talking about your character’s actions! Remember to use 3rd person. Example: Judy stomps her foot on the ground. “How dare you!” she screams.
