The Albion Crimson Brigade
The Flag of Albion, designed by Gallahand Harkness, first of his name.
“The Crimson Brigade, is a brotherhood founded on honor, duty and courage. Back to our very first founding members. When we inhabited the wildlands of Albion, our people went under siege from barbaric raiders in the nearby mountains. That’s when people stepped up to defend the place we wanted to make our home. Those men, doused in the Crimson blood of their enemies became known as the Crimson Brigade, the fiercest defenders of Albion who gave life and limb to protect what would become ours.” - Varelden Vasquez, Second Constable of Albion, to a group of new recruits.

Along with this promotion, you are able to begin 1 of 3 basic professions.
You are now eligible to be assigned to a decade based on profession.

20 Mina for patrol rallies.
25 Mina for offensive raids.
50 Mina for defensive raids.

Professions
Swordsmanship
Those who choose this profession will fall into 1 of 3 categories. Short-swordsmen, Long-swordsmen, and Bastard-swordsmen, based on experience with each. If you prefer using an axe, you’d best learn how to fight with a sword. Just because you use an axe doesn’t mean you’re special.
Archery
Those who choose this profession will fall into 1 of 3 categories. Shortbowmen, Longbowmen, and Snipers. However, the Sniper category will not be available to Wardens as it is the 2nd tier of Archery. It is only available to Officers who specialize in this profession. (Sergeant+)
Cavalry
Cavalry is a tier profession that branches from both swordsmanship and archery. If you wish to pursue the Cavalry profession, you must first begin with either of the 2 professions. Based on experience, you will be considered for Horseback combat. Even though you have only specialized in one profession, you are still be expected to know both ways of combat.
Tier II Ranks
As you continue to gain more respect within the military, you will be promoted to an Officer.
Officers will no longer receive pay for rallies and raids, only Warclaims. Officers are chosen for their commitment to the Role-play of the town and its aspects.
There may be exceptions for payments based on certain deeds, but that is for you to find out.
As an officer, you will be expected to form patrol groups often, hold training sessions, and recruit for enlistment. All ranks within the military will receive payment for recruiting for enlistment. (50 Mina)
Sergeant
The first tier of Officers. You shall begin to uphold your duties as officer. You will have command over all of the Tier I ranks, though you still must answer to higher ranking officers. 1 of 3 Sergeants will lead their decade in absence of their Lieutenant. (Sergeant commander to decade is assigned by Lieutenant.)
125 Mina for Warclaims.
Lieutenant
The second tier of Officers. You have authority over Sergeants and ranks below them. With this rank, you are expected to begin handing out pay to those who earned it. Lieutenants can lead their own decade that correspond to their own profession. (If you're a Lieutenant under the Archery profession, you will lead 9 others with the same profession.) It must consist of You, the Lieutenant, 3 Sergeants, and the rest Wardens of your choosing. (Must be within profession.)
150 Mina for Warclaims.
Marshal
The third and highest tier of Officers before Cavalierhood. You have full authority over the Crimson Brigade within reason. There will be 1 Marshal for every 3+ decades of corresponding profession. (1 Archery Marshal for 3+ Archery Decades, 1 Swordsmanship Marshal for 3+ Swordsmanship Decades, 1 Cavalry Marshal for 3+ Cavalry Decades.) Marshals are expected to keep an information loop with the Golden Cavaliers, and hold order within their cohort.
200 Mina for Warclaims.
Earning Promotions
The easiest way of getting a promotion is simply by being active.
Show up to rallies and training sessions. Obey officers. To rise through the ranks is to gain respect from others within the military.
If you respect your officers, they will respect you.
City Defense. If the city falls, so does the military.
Those who aid in successfully defending Albion from raiders will be heavily considered for a promotion.
Warclaims. All Draftees and Armsmen who participate in a warclaim will automatically be promoted to Wardens.
So you all best be active during the times of war!
Recruitment. For every rank elevation, you must recruit 2 more people.
Starting at Warden, you must recruit 2 people for a promotion. Sergeant, you must recruit 3. Lieutenant, 4.
After Marshal, you cannot be promoted further.
Earning Officer Ranks
The faster the military grows, the more officers needed. Along with that, more positions will change. For every decade within the military, (10 soldiers) there are 1 Lieutenant, 3 Sergeants, and 6 Wardens. For every 3 decades, 1 Marshal. As said, the faster the military grows, the higher chance of ranks being changed. With the assignment of Marshal, 1 of 3 Lieutenants is chosen from 3 decades. That chosen Lieutenant will become Marshal. 1 of 3 Sergeants from the decade of the former Lieutenant will become the new Lieutenant. 1 of 6 Wardens will become the new Sergeant to take their place, and an unassigned Warden will join that decade. If no unassigned Wardens are present, an Armsman will be promoted to a Warden to fill the empty space.
All rank promotions and demotions are all decided by the head of the military: The Constable. You may learn more about the Constable in The Golden Cavaliers thread.
