    The 15th of Malin’s Welcome

The Margraviate of Eisenwald was established on the 2nd of The Grand Harvest, 1765. The founder of Eisenwald was Adonis von Manstein and with the help of his friends, Otto von Reuss, Jacob Arpa, and Agnes Krasnoff. The three and their families set out looking for a place to settle in peace. Upon arriving in their desired land, they quickly set up their settlement to ensure they may have a roof over their heads. Once settled, they deemed their new homeland to something fitting of the surroundings, Eisenwald.

The group met with the King of Norland, Caedric I Ruric in order to establish terms regarding their accommodations under Norland. The Margraviate of Eisenwald will be independent of those political matters that the Nation of Morsgrad is involved in. This also includes Eisenwald’s independence from affairs regarding militaristic turmoil and war.

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

The Hou-Zi race are a primate people group, resembling monkeys. The daemon Metzli, was looking for a mortal race that would server her, searching far and wide to find a group that would accurately fit her wants for dedicated service. She journeyed into Axios, and felt as if none of the native beasts of the lands were fit for such a position. Though after looking more, she finally decided upon these primates. The first Hou-Zi this daemon approached, she unlocked his mind, their history, their culture. This was Hou-Shen, the Monkey King. She experimented on this specific monkey, molding him into having the same features as man and elves. She gave this monkey the crown of jade, and sent him the be the prophet to his people. Following this encounter, the Hou-Zi race finally came to be. Hou-Shen then went on to have three sons, Hou-Da, Hou-Wang and Hou-Xiao. This created the three Hou-Zi subraces.

The Laobai-Zhu or quite literally ‘common folk’ were the most common of these three sub-races. They appeared the most around the old empire. They are said to be the direct descendants of the god-king’s first born-- Hou-Wang. The usually happened to be fisherman or merchants. Though, there was usually nothing that they could not learn. Laobai-Zhu were also normally oppressed within the Hou-Zi ranks, however. They range from either 4’5 to 6ft tall, and usually were around 100-250 lbs. They also had the shortest life-span of the three sub-races, living only to be 100-150 years old.

The Fei-Zhu resemble almost baboons, in their physical appearance and the way their bodies were formed. They could be any color of the rainbow, and were normally hailed to be the most beautiful of the Hou-Zi, with the many colors they were able to flaunt to others. This Hou-Zi species is said to descend from the god-king’s second son, Hou-Da. Their faces are usually contrast to their fur. They were usually the thinnest and most fragile in their build, and stood normally from 5 ft, to 6ft. Their lives were also blessed with longevity, living from 150-250 years old. These Hou-Zi were usually the politicians, artists, and ambassadors. Most of them ended up being Shenijao priests, however. They were known not to be the strongest of the Hou-Zi, but the most agile and enduring.

The Hei-Zhu mostly resemble gorillas, and are normally black or grayish hues. They are said to descend from the third son of Hou-Shen; Hou-Xiao. They also happen to be the strongest of the three sub-races, and usually stand to be 6’5, to 7ft tall. They live the longest of all the Hou-Zi, living to be from 250-300 years old. They were usually the soldiers, and the military leaders of the Hou-Zi.

  4. Adonis Aldrich wonders to himself as he read over the letter ”So, it is alrigh’ to discriminate against t’e past leadership o’ Rubern fer bein child killers, yet ye’ wish t’e do the same? ‘ow pathetic.” The man mumbled to himself, shaking his head in pity for their hypocrisy.

  5. The server is labelled fantasy roleplay.

Why take away the aspect that this server was built on, to add weapons that will ultimately lead to both the powergame and downfall of roleplay on the server? I see comments specifically about how they have the same functionality as crossbows, yet that doesn’t stop anyone from still powergaming. If guns were added to the server, I suggest making sure that players know how to use the weapon correctly in roleplay, and actually read up on it.

I don’t see where firearms fit onto the server, it seems more like a more modern-medieval push onto the server by the human players on the server. Personally, I don’t think that this addition would spice rp, other than add another factor to worry about a /modreq for. I’ve never even seen a reason for crossbows to be on the server originally, and I don’t think it should’ve scurried past the techlock.

Now I understand that this is the ‘human’s form of magic’ or that ‘technology always will make its advances somewhere, and this likely was the discovery of someone who was messing with metals and an ore like boomsteel.

If firearms were added to the server, I would like to see a way to make sure you know which players have the weapons on them in roleplay. It would only make sense that they aren’t so widespread, and a select few had them on the server so they wouldn’t fall in the hands of someone who won’t use it correctly. (I mean, having at least 15 higher ups in a military carrying them around, not an entire military with rifles and berettas ready to kill anyone who stands in their way). I propose an application of sorts, like a CA or an MA. This will help keep track of who uses these weapons, and you are able to prove that your persona got it through crafting or handed down from someone with a withstanding CA or MA.

This is a weird subject to talk about on the server, and I am glad there’s a forum to argue about why they should, or why not should be added to the server.

Epistile - Thank you for all the late night calls, the exciting and dramatic roleplay, the movies, music and so much more Ep. You’re such a nerd and when I’m not constantly harassing you I’m thankful that I can consider you a friend.

thank you for making rp a million times greater than i thought it could be on lotc. i’m glad we’re still friends and i can’t wait for the next chapter to unfold. i would definitely emote if my silversteed was still alive. either way, i’m super happy that we’re still friends after all this time. thanks for being a person i could always speak to whenever. love ya!

  7. Leanan grips the letter tightly, before throwing it down quickly on the damp streets of Istrus. He’d mumble to himself “Fokin’ wench.” Leanan still had the respect of his sibling, but the union between her and an Orenian disgusted him.
