Tzipporah was the second born of her family of six, her older brother was born two years prior to her. Her mother was a weaver while her father was a merchant in the desert plains. She has two younger siblings, a pair of identical twin girls who she cares deeply for. From a young age, Tzipporah and her brother were raised to follow the beliefs of the Qalasheen, planting the seeds for hard workers at a young age. The pair were trained to be merchants by their father, and weavers by their mother. While her brother struggled with the delicate work required to spin the yarn as skillfully as his mother, he still managed to create wonderful tapestries to be sold. However, her brother took more to their father’s trade as a merchant. While he brother was wonderful with customers and selling items, Tzipporah was the opposite. Her stubborn stance and outspokenness would often drive customers away, especially those who would try to haggle the prices of her wares. She took after her mother’s trade of weaving, finding herself to be as skillful as her mother. Tzipporah and her mother worked together from the time she was 6 years old until she was 15. At 15 her mother gave birth to her twin sisters, sadly passing away as she was giving birth to the second twin. After the death of her mother, Tzipporah continued her work, pushing herself to work even harder, even by Qalasheen standards. She raised her sisters to weave just as she and her mother had done, doing what she could to be like a mother for the girls. As the girls grew older, it was made apparent that they didn’t inherit their mother’s gift of weaving. The blow of losing her mother as well as the realization that her sisters would not continue her trade only fueled the fire for her work even harder. By the time she turned 20, Tzipporah’s hands and feet were heavily caloused from all the hard work she had subjecting herself to. Her father was beginning to grow into his old age, his black hair peppered with grey. She took it upon herself to assume his work, insisting that he rest more for fear of losing him as well. Even with the help of her siblings, Tzipporah insisted she take on most of the household’s chores. With the addition of her father’s chores on top of the ones her mother left behind, she was no longer able to weave to make a living for her family. Before her 21st birthday, Tzipporah had to make the hard choice of leaving her family to allow them to thrive in their homeland. She chose to leave her home after a tearful goodbye, deciding to find herself a home of her own where she could continue her weaving for coin. She continues to wander the desert, looking for someone to take her in to begin her weaving once again.
