2 emotes is not fair or valid rp. Regardless of the rp that occurred however many years ago does not change that this a bad mechanic. Years before even vampires existed all holy magics could instantaneously reveal any dark spawn in a similar manner and it was rightfully removed as a mechanic due to how much of a cop out it was for actual investigative rp. People keep saying corcs should have more tells, but corcs do have to go out and feed without getting caught or someone ratting them out. As I've mentioned a few times in this thread multiple corcs have been caught by means other than salt testing so there really is not argument for a mechanic that purely exists as a way for people to meta freely.

It is fair rp because it is rp, do better at hiding. Nobody had a problem with the salt weakness until it became common knowledge, then its suddenly a problem; thats the reality of the situation here. It became common knowledge through investigative roleplay some times ago, it is completely unfair to just remove your only viable weakness simply because it was discovered. If you remove the salt test then people are just gonna start killing suspected vampires, come what may, and then there will be a thread put up on that too. There are far too many 'dark magics' or 'dark creatures' with no drawbacks and no tells what so ever, and now you want to remove the only tell of a vampire. Having to kill somebody to feed on them is not a drawback as this is done, for most of the time, at off peak hours where you chances of being caught doing it are neglible. If you suspect people of metagaming, report them, its really that simple. Salt testing people when there seems to be an abundance of vampires is not metagaming, its reacting to the surge of vampire discoveries, if you want salt testing to stop then stop making the attacks noticable and stop getting caught to easily.

  2. The discovery of the salt test was done through valid rp a long while ago, it is incredibly unfair to completely change your redlines because it has become common knowledge. You can't just change your weaknesses because people have discovered what they are. If you don't want to get discovered, don't go somewhere where they're doing mass testing or don't leave bodies in cites where they're likely to start testing people because of it.

Again, it is incredibly unfair to change your lore because your weaknesses were discovered, not through metagaming, but valid rp.

  3. "Damage control at its finest, House Amador had a vampyre housed in their roof, I find it hard to believe that none of them knew what she was. She was a vampyre and was justly slain. If the vampyre hadn't tried to flee then the child would still be alive, those bidding on the corpse were not part of the Inquisition and were told to leave." remarked Andrik. "The whole of House Amador ought be tested, they show a suspicious amount of sympathy of a beastial vampyre."

  4. "The King said he'd swear the same oath at the same time as the Duke of Adria, there is nothing wrong with that. It would appear that the Duke did not care for the peace agreement, it was only pushed by Aaun who were too scared to continue, he missed every single meeting that resulted in this treaty, I wonder if he'll make an appearance this time." Said Andrik.

  5. "All of this, defending Aaun from the anathema, just for them to turn around and call it an unjust war... I think they don't seem to remember why they went to war in the first place. Our soldiers died for nothing." remarked Andrik. "I'm sure the illusive Duke of Adria will lose what little control he has left over his vassals and war will inevitably resume and no doubt some of the cowardly Canonist Princes will forget who rallied to their defence first."

  6. Ser Andrik reads the list of signatures with a furrowed brow. "I don't recall seeing the Duke of Adria at any of the peace meetings, let alone this signing, how odd!"

Did you even read the post lol

    Spoiler

my bad, mistook it for a forum signature and skipped it over

  8. Sobbing, that was all Andrik would hear through the manor's walls as he lay awake all through the night, staring at the cieling. The last conversation he had with his mother raced through his mind over and over, various scenarios playing through his head, I could've talked her out of it, how did we not notice this was coming?

The last image Andrik would have of his mother would be her suffering, one of the last things she had said to him was that he was a disappointment. He was used to being called a disappointment from the Duke, but not his mother, she always had his back; he must've royally messed up to gain her ire.

"I will miss you, I am sorry I disappointed you. I promise I will change."

Andrik promised as he lay awake, restless and without sleep, this would be a promise he will keep.

My dearest readers, truly the utmost scandalous event has taken place! Our very own Prince Stefan has sought to marry a commoner, Franziska Morovar, also known as the Madame Raev! Furthermore, it has been seen that this woman is pregnant out of wedlock, as if having the gall to make a move on our own prince wasn’t shameful enough!

Andrik var Ruthern practises the song he will be forced to sing to an enraged Franziska.

  10. "Disinvites the members of the Canonist League, yet invites the clergy of the Canonist League, one would hope the clergy would boycott this sham of an investiture and any clergy who does take part should be defrocked." remarked Andrik.

  11. Looks good, but my only qualm with it is that it appears its just another dark magic CA that can just rp as usual descendants and continously hide their demonic traits, unless I've read it wrong. Why would their demonic traits only appear when they are casting or at whim?
