             Druidic Communion

     

    Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

             

     Druidic communion, at the very base, is a blessing from the aspects given to the descendants with the goal of maintaining the balance and servitude to the trio of deities. When firstly attuned, their connection is rather weak, being unable to really filter through the melodies and sounds they may hear, however, as they advance further, they may be able to communicate with flora and fauna alike, sometimes even using the song of nature as an extension of their own emotional state and even imbuing their own energies into objects using infusion. Even though the remaining sect is labeled control, a druid knows one does not control nature, they may request something of it, and it may decide to oblige or not.

     

     

    Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

             

    Communion first starts off as a weak hum on the back of the student’s mind, with practice and lessons this hum will develop into the remaining sections of the magic, those being communion, as stated before, control and infusion.

     

    When it comes to communion itself, that being the very first tool given to the newly attuned druid, they are at first unable to filter out any information, or even exchange anything, they are, at first, merely a listener until they grow accustomed to the voices, as time, practice and teaching goes on, the student will be able to then exchange thoughts, emotions and even images with flora and fauna alike, examples of communion abilities are Tuning, empathy, mapping and greensight.

    Control, being mislabeled in my eyes, is when the druid makes a request for nature, tapping into the druidic energies stored within them to perform feats such as the growing of trees and flowers, the moving of branches, roots and so on and so forth, at first, the student will struggle to have their requests met, due to the lack of time and trust that nature has towards them, however once their bond with nature grows old and stronger, they may find their requests often met. A few examples of control abilities are Growing, surge and ungrowing.

    Druidic infusion is performed when a druid allows the natural energies stored within them to flow into an object, imbuing a certain effect or ability to it, a few of the abilities available are powersharing, singing and awakening.

    As for the remaining subtypes that the student may learn as they reach up tiers, those consist of:

     A gift from the pure essence of nature itself, with these abilities a druid is able to further aid nature by being able to heal lands of blights that can not be healed by normal means such as voidal taints. 

     

    Shapeshifting

    A gift not often shared as most of its users remain hidden, this allows one to take on the form of an animal of nature, though this is condensed into only one creature and is known to cause changes to the users normal body, mind and behavior, at the beginning for a shapeshifter taking on their animal form is long and painful but as they go higher up in tiers it becomes easier and less painful, yet still uncomfy.  

     

    Herblore 

    A gift that is rather advanced among druids, allowing for building upon communion a druid can learn the interior structures of flora and guide them to grow in different manners. This allows the ability to encourage innate properties of fruits and flowers to make things grow more potent or weak, however it is mainly used in conjunction with healing that is not its only application. 


    Transcendence
    A gift that is for rather advanced druids, this starts with the connection of the student's soul to the eternal forest in a fae ring, said connection slowly grows into them bearing an array of differing mental and physical effects, in the end allowing them to walk amongst the forest while still living, summoning fae to aid them in combat and more.

    [!]Bjorn had headed out, upon being met with a sudden rush of water, they had decided to head out to take a look at the surrounding beaver dam, completely destroyed, they would make their way towards one lone beaver by the edge of the river, their eyes overtaking a darker hue as they opened themselves to the hum of nature.[Communion 1/2 ]
     

    [!]Bjorn’s iridescent eyes would fix upon the critter before them, their sense of the song waxing and waning as they fully attuned their mind to it, taking a step forth, they would be graced with disarray amongst nature’s choir, cacophony of screams to their senses.

    Bjorn glanced towards the Beaver. They allow their mind to swim through the song to search for its voice, brows furrowing as they stare it down for a few moments. The voice of the critter soon would be fully isolated from the chorus, in Bjorn's mind this would look as if it bore strange markings, swirls of colors only they could see. [BeastSpeak 1/3]

     

    [!] They reached out through song, one hand opening as they would try and communicate a greeting first, trying to be as polite as one can be, trying to get a feel of how the beast felt before saying anything. [BeastSpeak 2/3]

As they watched over the destroyed dam with a frown upon their features, they nod slowly, as they allow the critter to express what happened, to its understanding.     Bjorn approached their frazzled student, taking a seat near them with a low hum, they looked them over, nodding softly to themselves for a moment “You see, i’ll show you something that you need right now, alright? How to share our energies'' at that, they would slowly take in a breath, their now darkened, fae-esque eyes peering out as they seemed to focus into the well of energy within them, their hands joined together and their fingers laced as they seemed to sway to nature’s chorus to further focus. [Powersharing 1/3]

     

    [!] “First, that well of energy that surrounds your soul, the one you use to grow things around you, you allow it to build within you, take grasp of it, to feed into our people’s energies.”

    The energies within the tall druid would soon begin to gather and swirl within, arms taking on a darker hue, as if severely frost-bitten, or as if Bjorn had dipped them both in soot, wisps of midnight seeping from between their fingers. “A lone wolf does not take the hunt home, we ought to aid them in their duties, as i will do so right now.”[Powersharing 2/3]

     

    “Once you’ve grasped the well inside you, that fire, the spark of your soul, you push it towards the pool you are feeding, or the person you wish to aid.” Bjorn spoke as they carefully touched their student’s shoulder, soon allowing their energy to flow through them towards the student, easing the pain of exhaustion, the darkness surrounding their eyes and hands seemed to ooze downwards like tar drips, fading before ever reaching the ground. “This is the gift of Powersharing, you will use this in situations where your siblings will need a helping hand, use it well.” Explained Bjorn with a grin, darkened eyes peering over their student.     If it happens during a lesson, I'd immediately correct them and give them reference of how it is done correctly,making sure the mistake is not repeated, if not during a lesson, a repeated offense, I would take the necessary actions making ST aware and ensuring proper punishment.

  3. Bjorn, the Boreal druid read the letter, sat down upon the aviary, where many nests had gathered over the years.

    "Some men believe only god can judge them... I do not mind sending those men to him."

    Their utterance would be heard by no descendant, witnessed only by the pigeon that had delivered such a letter, perched upon their forearm.

     

  4. From deep within the verdant forest's brush, a figure that bore ivory hair and frosted skin would make the long trudge to meet their fallen brother, they had marched from the nightfall to the twillight, soon to find him, wherein they had opened their arms to welcome him home.

  9. Siruonn, taking a step back from their overjoyed greeting, would peer down at the duo, together in life and death. A pause of solenm understanding, of the need of relief after all those years of duty.
     

    "Getting to hug my elders again... welcome home, you two."

    Seeing two more of their people leave to the forest, Klaus would sit beside the statuette they had made for the two, there were no tears or prayers to try and question the whims of the world, they look at the withering world before them and thought that maybe.. maybe those two had a point. 

    Klaus soon shook their head some, pushing such thoughts down to deal with them later.

    [!]Klaus let out a low breath as their eyes burned with emerald fire, mist of the same hue would exit their mouth and nose as the air escaped their lungs as their senses broadened to fully listen to the song of nature, a foot padding along the unheard symphony to calm the nerves of the druid facing the blight before the two.

     

    [!]They focus on their inner well of natural energies, guiding them to swell, not unlike a pool, their arms take on a spiraling pattern of the same forestry hue as their eyes, as their energies begin to build well up, through greeted teeth, they mutter to their fellow druii, giving her a warning before touching the woman.

     

    [!] Once enough energy had filled Klaus’ frame, they reached their arm forth to carefully touch Lora’s shoulder . Allowing the well of energies to ebb and flow towards the blight healing druid, they huff out plumes of green, sweat beading across their forehead as the exhaustion was not halved between the two.

    [!] Through the canopy and into the woods, Klaus guided the taller student down the beaten path, humming some, they had yet to tell their student what they were to do in there. Yet, the ‘ker knew there was something to be learned, whatever it would be this time.

     

    [!]Once stumbling onto a clearing, Klaus pulls the student to  halt by the elbow, the ‘ker lets out a low huff at the brisk stop, yet he soon understands the reason, up a few feet, there was a rather large moon bear, the student glanced at Klaus, that grinned and then spoke.

    “Today, you will learn to speak to the kin of the forest.”


    [!]And so, Klaus tugs their student along into the clearing, causing the man’s eyes to widen and then wrench shut, soon opening once more as Klaus seemed to be baby talking to the bear, that seemed more than happy seeing the druid.

    “I’ve raised Moo for many springs, he’s safe Morean”

    Klaus spoke out their student’s way, their grin never fading.

    [!]Their student nods, taking in a calming breath at his teacher’s shenanigans, and soon, the two would face the sitting bear, Klaus would then pat their student’s shoulder.

     “alright, now, you broaden your senses just like we always do, allow your mind to calm itself and we’ll go from there”

     

    [!]Morean nodded, eyes coming to a close and his breathing slowing, mind running empty as his senses broadened. Soon a light cyan green would slip beneath his eyelids, that soon parted to look around his surroundings.

     

    [!]Klaus nodded, gesturing at the bear that was now fussing over the ground “Now you do just as we did when you started speaking to plants, reach out and establish a bridge” Klaus went on, quietly explaining the process.

     

    [!]Morean nodded, his now gleaming cyan gaze and senses focusing fully on the rotund animal, he focused, an aura of shifting hues that only he could see would surround the bear he was determined to communicate with.

     

    “Keep going dear” Klaus spoke from his side, a foot padding the grass as they waited for their student to get a full grasp onto the animal.

    [!]Soon, Morean’s focus burrowed fully into the bear’s form and song, the aura of strange patterns now painting the being’s fur, his mind blocking the surrounding stimuli, he fully grasped the bear’s song.

     

    [!]Klaus hummed as their student’s gaze fully burrowed into the bear’s form, that was idly mouthing at the grass and bush right by them, greedily slurping up the few berries that remained. “Now, you try reaching it, listen first to grasp its state of mind.”

     

    [!]The student would follow the instructions, making an attempt to grasp the bear’s attention and fully communicate with it, he fully reached out, hoping to have the conversation within the bounds of his and the bear’s minds.

     

    [!]The bear would perk up, curiously looking at Morean with its big beady eyes, it seemed rather excited to speak to someone new, lumbering on over to sit by the druid, still chewing some reeds and berries.

     

    [!]Morean would then pass on the feeling of a full belly, being content, and asking the bear if that would be how it felt now, he kept a polite, albeit very excited tone throughout his communication.

     

    [!]The bear would huff out, it was indeed very fat and content, since winter was right around the corner, it was eating and getting fat as much as it could, it would then express sleepiness and the want for a cozy cave, which would cause Morean to nod in agreement, it was truly time for some rest.

     

    [!]As Klaus watched their student finish the conversation on a good note, they hum and nod “good job, keep practicing and i’ll drag you somewhere new next time” Klaus chuckled, aiming to aid their now tired and a little sweaty student back home from the woods.

As someone that is part of the alphabet mafia, I already deal with this out the server i don't wanna deal with it in the server. I don't think it should be prohibited, I don't like it, i've been there, gone through that, but situations like that happen, and the answer is almost always communication.

    You are allowed to speak and want out of a situation you don't want to be a part of, as Critter said, safety before immersion. 

  13. This rewrite is very, very needed, +1!

    While i appreciate that blight healing a batch of land doesn't knock you out for the rest of the day, i also bear same concerns that some have pointed out with the range of blight healing being smaller but allowing someone to either cast it more times or get a group to powershare and widen the range, I think this may do more harm than good, since we already have to resort to druid PK's to be able to heal larger areas.

     

    Blight healing is easily the most know and well used abilities that is almost a trademark of the druidic community yet it is very underpowered when compared to the scale of corruption that can be caused, lowering the range would further kneecap this ability.


    Drawing in that, invigorating widens the range of abilities, this has been an issue in previous instances since it would more often than not result in only one person blight healing a large area, while others powershare to widen their range instead of aiding them by using the ability simutaniously.

     

    Another 'd like to mention is the appreciation i have for the removal of what i liked to call "Voidal Backdoor" that being that someone could easily drop druidism by obtaining a voidal magic, i'm glad this has been removed, since unnattument is such a grueling task for all involved, and having a way out the magic without the concequences of abandoning it is such a plus, i appreciate it!

     

     

    Holy shit the merging is wonderful, it takes away the redundancy and bloating of lessons, I also appreciate the lowering of the emote counts, and a more cohesive exhaustion system, a lot of gripes i had with the older versions are mostly fixed in this one, good job Carol and everyone that worked on this, i am well aware this has been a process to say the best, and i'm very proud of y'all!

  14. An Uruk child would rest its head in the krugmar clinic, gnarled and scorched flesh healing. They wished to move, to play, to klomp alongside their brethren, but they could not. Not now, they look down at the stretchmarks that adorned them, a reminder of the childhood they could have had, and was ripped apart by blue flames...

    Klaus, the Cicada druid, being brought to their knees onto the floor of their home in a flurry of confusion and agony would shriek at the sudden cries from nature, as their day went on, they learned more and more through the lips of their kin. Where and what, and how. Yet never why. 

     

    Klaus did not want to know why, they would not allow those responsable for this abomination the time of day to become a person. That was stripped from them the moment they became tainted by the void.

     

    "This desiase is not worthy of a voice."

     

    The elf's voice echoes to an empty home, hatred was all they felt.

    No-one owes anyone forgiveness, and the victims have all the right to be uncomfortable around someone that not only insulted and disreguarded their identity but also threatened to rape them. I am not of any side in the war, I don't give a shit about the minecraft power dynamic nor will I ever start giving a shit.

     

    Mona and Toni were victims of horrid harassment and you guys are worried that this was posted because of a minecraft war?

    What the **** is wrong with you? 

    As for the admins, moderators and general staff team that allowed such a player back into the server, shame on you, you didn't just fail to do your job, you failed the community as a whole by letting this excuse of a person back inside.

  17. I agree with this. I also want to add that a lot of people here have things outside of the game, such as school, work, both, family, friends; the list goes on and on.

     

    The time it takes for someone to master anything in this server, be it a Feat, creature, magic or anything can be and is a big roadblock for a lotta people that are busy, most people on LoTC don't have the time or energy to put the amount of effort and the time it takes to obtain those things. Especially when you depend on other players that can also be busy with life. 

     

    I don't mean to put down the narratives that one can have when learning under another person, I myself love the roleplay of teaching and being taught, though that being an obligation can easily burn out both sides. It kind of makes something that is meant to be a hobby and a fun distraction feel like a job.

    So the proposal of adding an avenue that someone can attain these things in their own time, in their own way sounds very helpful. It also gives people a lot of independence, which i appreciate.

From deep into the frigidity of the biolumenescent domain, an ivory-haired elf with strange proportions would come to greet the newly arrived druid, in the never-fading realm of green and life, followed by polar bears, while at first intimidating, it was clear the creatures and the druid meant no harm.

    The boreal druid spoke out in warm yet solenm tone..

    In the vale, a much younger druid spoke felt the cold grief wash over them, with a lack of understanding on what had happened, they ran out of their home with measured confusion, and upon being explained what the silence meant, they felt their chest tighten.

    They then sprint towards their forge, unable to allow themselves to be alone with their own thoughts.
