Gortrex was born into the Ironhide clan who were a mining family from the city of Kal’Varoth. He spent his youth following his father and grandfather in the mines carrying various tools etc for them. He always wanted to take into the family work and when he was of age he spent most of his days mining. While spending his time in the mines, there were reports of goblins attacking mining groups. Gortrex never encountered Goblins before so he was quite uneasy. While working with his group down in the tunnel they came across a group of Goblins and they were attacked. Gortrex was the only member of his party to escape as he fought his way to safety. When we returned to his family, they believed he survived because he hid while his clan members fought to the death. This wasn’t true and Gortrex tried to explain himself, but it fell on deaf ears as his family disowned him. Out of shame Gortrex left home and travelled the mountains and forests alone searching for a way to regain his family honour and to bring fame to their name. He is committed on hunting goblins and any other foul beasts that he comes across hoping one day to return to his family and regain his honour or die trying. Growing up Gortrex heard of stories of epic dwarven heros, by setting out on his quest he hopes that he will be the talk of campfire stories to his younger kin. Gortrex is also devoted to the deitie Dungrimm so by doing this quest he hopes to gain his favour.
