Girim was the runt of his tribe, born from one of the strongest warriors, Kilve The Axe-thrower. At a young age, Girim was considered to be a disgrace to all orcs, as he was very weak, and refused to fight, thus leading him to be left behind in the desert. When his mother Kilve realized, she went back to retrieve him in the dead of the night. She hid him away for some time, giving him his father’s battle flute. Girim would play the flute everyday, until the other orcs followed the sound and found him. His mother was punished and he was brought out to witness. Kilve then proceeded to have her main throwing arm chopped off; the sight causing Girim’s bloodlust to awaken after being held back for so long. He went into a blind rage, killing many orcs in the tribe, injuring many. When his bloodlust died down, he had realized what he’d done and cried, causing the remaining members of the tribe to look away in disgust. He left on his own, looking back at his mother with fearful eyes, a final goodbye. Nowadays, he wanders aimlessly through the woods, sometimes stopping in taverns to play his flute, now his favourite past time. When his bloodlust starts to get riled up, he’ll hunt animals instead of people. He still keeps up with other traditions, such as dyeing his hair (except he uses animal blood), wearing gold jewelery, and very rarely smoking cactus green.
