Additionally, just an LOTC-specific tip- When typing your emotes, there's no need for the * before, unless your entire action is simply an emote. If you simply put text in quotations and your actions outside of quotations, the emote will automatically show that, without the use of *'s!

Additionally, you can remove the _ between your first and last name in-game! Simply do /persona rename Egon Langstift

Would smile at the man, before saying "A little bit of everything good man, Haha!" He'd then look around at the buildings surrounding them. "Could you point me to the nearest tavern? It's time to meet the locals.
