Arbane was the only child of Lucial and Vaina Thekian. His mother was a priest and his father a soldier. He lived with them in Haelun’or. Overall his childhood was a normal one. He remembers two pieces of Haelun’ors history when he was younger. The reopening of the Eternal Library when he was only 8 and the Conquest of Ruswick when he was about 15. During the Conquest of Ruswick is when Arbane got his battlescar on his chest. Arbane’s mother taught him much of the world and its peoples and his father taught him the way of the sword.
Arbane wasn’t much of a city lover as he preferred wandering into the woods and exploring over anything else. He met many people during his travels and developed a taste for specific man made ales. He also learned to develop his tracking skills and he was sharp with a sword due to his father’s training. His bow skills were somewhat lacking but he was at least able to use one when needed.
Eventually when he was of age Arbane decided to leave his parents home and start off on his own. He became a tracker and guide. He helped people cross the great woods in Arcas and would lend aid to those lost or starving. However he still loved to hit up the closest tavern and drink when he could.
