Norton was born to a family in the outskirts of the Kingdom of Haense. His family was by no means rich, however; they had enough money to live comfortably. Norton spent the first six years of his life playing Haeseni Chess with friends and getting tucked into bed by his mother without a care in the world but upon turning seven his life took a turn toward a more work based life. His father put Norton to work around the house and began teaching Norton how to work in the fields. When Norton was 14, his father even taught Norton how to defend himself because of a violent riot that happened during “The Trouble.” At 18, despite not having a formal education, Norton had grown to be very intelligent. As he grew up, Norton had spent most of his free time reading any book that he could get his hands on, particularly searching for books on combat, which he would spend time practicing. When he was 19, his mother grew very ill from an unknown disease, and eventually passed away. When she passed, Norton decided to leave home, and resorted to life of thievery. He now takes jobs where every he can get them, living in a run down house in New Reza. When he is not thieving or doing a job to earn wages, he takes to the nearest Tavern where he attempts to drown his sorrows in a pint. However, he is not to far gone and may be able to turn his life around. He is considering a life as a soldier in the army.
