Gabriel was always a hopeful child. He was born in Curon into a poor family with little in his fortune. At the age of 10, he had learned how to persuade anyone with great skill, which helped him get supplies for him and his parents. He never played with other children, because he was too busy fending for his family. Even though he came from such a poor family, he was still a very charming and likable boy. He always made sure to help anyone in need and he made it a mindset, “never to steal, but always to earn.” With this in mind, he was determined to help his family with any problems they faced. Eventually, he started doubting himself on his ability to fend for his family after one incident. When walking home at dusk, a man came and mugged him, stealing all his supplies. He was left helpless, lying on the street, and his family got no food that night. After this, he started pounding himself with thoughts such as “I should’ve been able to stop him” and “I’m not good enough to help anyone.” His self-conscious attitude crushes his confidence in most of his daily activities. One day, when he was coming home from his daily errands, he saw both of his parents lying motionless on the floor, submitted to Iblees curse. It had seemed that they had accidentally picked and consumed poisonous berries. At this time he was 18 years old, and hadn’t experienced anything major in his life except for the mugging incident. This just boosted his self-consciousness even more and he decided it was enough. After 1 year of working and gaining enough money and supplies, Curon dissolved. This tore apart the land and ruined his plans for success. He took his things and quickly left the land, heading southwest, to Haense. After this, he learned to be careful of who to trust. He started a small travelling shop consisting of himself and the items he acquired along the way. Now he’s finding a new path to success in Haense, the closest place he has to home.
