Sons to a pair of Kaedrini blacksmiths, Issak Oda and his elder brother, Neivius, grew up in the Kaedrin region. At age 10, Issak and his brother ran away from their mundane lifes, chasing after exciting adventures. With little to no survival skills, the sons barely lasted a week; robbed and tricked by countless amounts of bandits and criminals the duo began to lose their trust in anyone but eachother. Without any food, water, or even clothes on their backs, the sons were eventually taken in by a passing group of mercenaries who often received arms and services from Issak’s family. They were trained to fight and were provided with food in exchange for their free smithing skills, which allowed the group to avoid making stops. Through countless skirmishes and battles, Issak developed a desire to fight and finally was given a piece of the adventure he sought. However, news soon returned revealing that Issak’s parents died in a petty robbery. The incident hung over Issak’s head until the overwhelming guilt caused him to develop an unhealthy obsession with loyalty. Over the years, Issak’s skills as both smith and warrior reached master levels of practicality and skill; however, an insecurity seethed deep inside Issak as he could never best his brother in either. As time went on, Issak and Neivius grew to hate the mercenary work as their morals diverged from the interests of the group. Breaking the mercenary blood oath was akin to death and the two were chased out and nearly killed. To search for a deeper meaning and purpose to their actions, he two wandered off into the unknown, left solely with their will to survive and kill.
