A monk once told me, “Lies will always be bitter in the end, no matter how sweet you made it at the beginning”. I never understood what he meant by that or if it was a clue to what my life was going to lead to. I always keep that as a question in my book hoping that one day, I could answer it or understand what it means. When the monk told me this one day. Three days later after the monk left, was the day my homeland Legardon was taken over by a greedy vial man named Lord Abbathor. He was not like any man that I saw throughout my life. I started a rebellion against him and his kind and caused me to be on the run praying that one day I will be strong and willful enough to take him on.
Astron, 23rd I finally made it to Asulon and found a place to lay low for a while. Maybe I will get a few small jobs to get some more coins for the trip to Lareh’thilln. I just pray to the gods I can find some that can help me with my training. Oh yea and Happy 102 year birthday to me… Wish it were better terms that I could celebrate with my family and loved ones. The path that I was given was chosen by me to help my people. Even if only the children and women were able to escape while me and a small group of rebels were able to hold back his men that he sent towards us.
