It is a slur that is used against people of color. A real-life slur. I have every right to be upset about this and not brush it off. I've had slurs used against me before and would appreciate knowing that this server is a safe enough place to not incorporate terms such as those into it. This isn't some made up word that wouldn't actually be harmful to another person. You think of it lightly, but it is not something light. How hard is it not to use it? Alas, my words fall on deaf ears. 

Real life slurs should never be used in an RP server or AT ALL for the matter. Usage of such degrading terms "in taste" is not acceptable. There is no way to do so. Slurs are slurs for a reason, and the fact that this behavior was brushed off in such a manner also makes Moderation look worse than they already do. How can you use a slur "with taste"? By separating yourself from it? Easy for someone to do when they've never had to deal with something of the sort. 

It's ridiculous that this is a "open conversation" instead of it being an important and enforced rule not to use real life slurs in RP. Made up ones that fit the server? Fine. Made up fantasy world, made up people, made up slurs for different races. However, an actual slur that is harmful to a real individual who could have already dealt with this before in their life? Absolutely not.

Why is it that people like this are given safe spaces to makes distasteful comments and get away with it? It's almost like Moderation wants the decline of LoTC and the reasonable side of the player base. The usage of real life slurs should NEVER be a slap on the wrist.

Deflecting or shifting the blame doesn't help either. No side was right when using harmful terms to either person. As the Mod Admin, you should know that placing blame on the opposite is only going to cause more problems. Stop being the fuel to the fire and actually do something to put it out.

Travelling from one place to another has its benefits of hearing the latest news across Almaris; however, the typically energetic potato-fanatic was left distraught at the news of her aunt's untimely demise.

“It's not true...is it?”

The concept of death wasn't new to her. She’d learned of the repetitive cycle whom they called life and death, though she never expected it to happen so soon to someone she loved so dearly. Her golden eyes hastily search for Tahlia to disprove what she thought to be rumors. Suddenly, a familiar crow swoops down and drops a single letter by her feet before continuing on to its next destination. Her lips begin to tremble as she finishes reading the letter.

"N-no," she manages with a croak. "No, it's not true..." 

As much as she tried to hold her composure, she could hold the heartbreak no longer. The small ‘ame covered her face with shaking hands and let an agonizing screech escape her. The thirteen-year-old brought down to her knees as she mourned for her most beloved.

Her eyes widen as she sees her aunt's name signed on the final page. The twelve year old rereads the pages, though this time more thoroughly and to the best of her ability. Upset with what she could make of it, she shakes her head and furrows her brows. "Mess with my Auntie, and you're deemed a lowlife cabbage," she grumbles as she munches down on a mushy potato then marches off to search for her beloved godmother.
