Alia had come from a family which paid her no heed. Her father, a coward too weak to face his mother, left his daughter to fend for herself against the voidal obsessed Elf that was her mother in Fenn. Her mother, Deuiza, had learned of voidal magics from Llyria before the war. She became affixed with the idea of becoming powerful for one reason or another. She wanted to be feared, never again to be threatened by dwarves or humans. She yearned for a freedom she believed only powerful magics could grant her and was thus lost in her delusions. For as long as she could remember living as a child, her mother had consistently tormented her with her ideas, using fire evocation to scare her in different ways in hopes of developing new attacks and techniques. Her mother became consumed by her thoughts, and when the voidal horrors came, she offered herself to the towering beasts for knowledge. As her mother was never heard of beyond that point, Alia was now free, though she wasn’t scorned. She was hurt, but she didn’t hold it against anyone knowing full well that her mother’s actions were her own. Now she tries to cope with her anxiety as she lives among the rest of the descendants in the land of Arcas, hoping to one day set a foot in the right path where her mother had not.
