From a young age, Meorise was self-taught how to care, feed, and dress herself properly as she was often ignored by both her parents. She was used for her parents' benefit, and was always instructed to wash and clean the small cottage they resided in. Cinderella? Nope. No evil step-mother in this one, just parents who took absolute advantage. The only way she was able to isolate herself from all this was to venture out into the forest beside her home where she developed a strong liking to nature and greenery. Whilst in the depths of the forest, she'd sit down on a log she'd found and begin to write in her journal as some sort of coping mechanism. Eventually, she'd had enough. At around the age of 17, she'd packed all her garments and some food into a basket. Since her getaway was the forest, she'd known the ins and outs of it, considering she'd been going there since forever. She'd known there was a passageway at the end of the footpath, and decided to finally make a run for it. After disappearing from her family's cottage, she found herself in the middle of Oren.
