Luirlan grew up on tales wonders of the Elves of Aegis and always wondered at the craft which the legends say they made. Like many elves, he wanted to make things of beauty but he also wished to be able to infuse them with power, for when the stories were told it was not the heroes he was drawn to but those who they went to for wisdom and aid, for it always seemed that the wise in such tales were also skilled in the ways in which physical objects might bestow the gifts of power.
He has spent his short life underfoot, sitting in a corner with a book on Voidal Feeling or Arcane Familiars magics, or trying to understand what others would call "too advanced for his age." His parents wanted to encourage him but were sometimes concerned about his frustration in the face of difficulty or the wisdom of elders. If only he'd take to wisdom as quickly as he took to learning.
While physically mature, Lurilan, at 41 years of age, is still young for his race. His dreams are not tempered by the experience that his elders have in such abundance, and he is prone to take risks in gathering what he needs for his latest endeavor. Others may look and see in him a shadow of those who have fallen afoul of hubris and the temptation to take the dark shortcuts to quick power.
He is proud, but often helpful, though that helpfulness is more about himself and his power to elevate others.
