Kieran was born into a family of three, consisting of her parents and her elder brother, several decades older than her. From a young age she looked up to her brother, who was talented in many ways she was not. As she grew this admiration began to become tainted with jealousy. Even as a child she was compared to her brother, always lesser, never good enough. The only one to show her compassion was her uncle, a talented archer and bowmaker. She was taken under his wing by 16, and for the first time, she had something that came naturally to her. The feel of a bowstring under her fingers, the rush of the wind when arrows fly- it became everything to her, and she threw herself into perfecting her archery to the point of exhaustion. Under her uncle's guidance, she honed her skills with the bow and the knife, until she successfully crafted her first bow at 18. Though this wasn't good enough for her parents, she paid them no mind.
Always seeking to become better, Kieran dedicated herself to The Emerald Way. She stuck out on her own, striving for perfection constantly. A brief stint in Aegrothond led her to practice her crafting skills further. With the knowledge gained in the Principality she forged a new bow for herself, which she nicknamed the Bow of Groves. Though crudely made it has become her prized possession. At age 58, with nothing but the bow and her other meager possessions, Kieran made the decision to continue her travels, unsure of the future, or where she may settle down, but determined to become someone.
