Born second son to a family of nobles, Arlequin would be the warrior son of the family. Sent off to become a knight, he spent most of his youth preparing for this very thing. Though his true passion laid in entertaining others, he would come up with new tricks to make his peers smile and laugh, amaze them with magic tricks or perform funny skits.
This does not mean he didn't try his hardest in school, learning to fight. Arlequin carries himself with grace when he moves, he is competitive to a fault. Always striving to be the best in his class, he would not waste all of his time on silly tricks and japes. He'd travelled to the Holy Orenian Empire during his training, visiting the city of Providence.
He became a full fledged knight at 16, but soon felt trapped in the lifestyle. Having to act proper in every interaction, the frivolous ceremonies, he'd grown tired of them. He ran away from his home to the kingdom of Norland. Hearing they needed able bodied soldiers, a step towards freedom compared to Knighthood.
