Wilfred was born in the capital of the Holy Orenian Empire, his parents Harold Thelo and Ethel Thelo, and while being a Heartlander, he spent a lot of his life outside of cities. At birth his mother died, leaving him alone with his father who spent a lot of his time in the army fighting in the Sutican War. Wilfred's father was kind and loving, yet also pushing at the same time, to make sure his son turned out as a strong brave knight, hoping Wilfred would follow in his footsteps. But he still saw his father as a sort of idol. Wilfred spent most of his free time reading as he regularly interacted with monks of the Canonist faith, and frequently asked them questions. Growing up, he relied on other people's families for homes, and kept to himself. When he was 14 he joined a small religious military group, and began fighting against other small groups around Arcas, this lead to him experiencing many tragedies at a young age. At 15, he took part in the burning down of a small village, causing his group to become feared even more. But at 16, he ventured deep into a cave were he was ambushed, and his small battalion was killed leaving just himself left, and everyday he thinks about how he could have saved his friends if they had been able to see in the dark abyss. After discovering that his father attended Haeseni Independence Day's agreement, he sought to find his long lost relative and meet him again. He now lives in Haense, still taking part in his military duties, and still regretting none of it afterwards.
