Malcolm was born in the giant kingdom of Norland, close to the northern mountains of Almaris, in the captital Varhelm. He was taught The Red Faith as a religion but that would soon change. His father was a soilder for the war that had been going on throughout . His house caught on fire during a battle and his mom died in the flames. He went to see if his father was alive, but he had died in the battle as well. He got kidnapped and was later woken up in Krugmar. The Orcs had taken him, he was forced to pracctice their religion and worship The Spirits. Later a group of warriors had come there to destroy some of the Orcs, he was taken away and into the land of Oren. He was raised there by a woman named Mariana, she was later killed by a witch when he was 16. He was the only witness to the crime of the witch and had no one to protect him from the things that would come next. He was banned from Oren after they thought he had worked with the witch. He hated magic ever since and lived on his own in the wild. He was about 18 when his journey soon began...
