I'd love to invest in the LotC game. Been part of the community for a while and would love to contribute in a more meaningful manner.

What can you offer to the team?

A new set of eyes. Very cool opinions and a good noggin on my head! 

If you were the Mod Admin, what would you change about the server?

If I was the Mod Admin, I'd first increase the ticket quota for moderators. Forcing them to answer more tickets. We need hard working volunteers.

Years before even vampires existed all holy magics could instantaneously reveal any dark spawn in a similar manner and it was rightfully removed as a mechanic due to how much of a cop out it was for actual investigative rp. People keep saying corcs should have more tells, but corcs do have to go out and feed without getting caught or someone ratting them out. As I've mentioned a few times in this thread multiple corcs have been caught by means other than salt testing so there really is not argument for a mechanic that purely exists as a way for people to meta freely.

With a heart heavy as the stone walls of the basilica I write this in, I, Ser Knight Inquisitor Galadin, do hereby proclaim the extinguishment of a brother's flame. Let it be known throughout the realms that I, with a sorrowful heart, must enact the decree of excommunication upon my own kin, Gavre Gaunt, severing all his ties to the sacred institution of the Churches’ Holy Inquisition, henceforth and forevermore.

The mantle of an Inquisitor bears a heavy weight and demands a demeanor befitting of our divine LORD's laws. Alas, my very own flesh and blood hath defiled said sacred union.

By drawing his weapon upon the revered Patriarch of the grand Kingdom of Haense, Aleksandr the Second, Gavre Gaunt has dared to trespass upon the very precedent of safety and justice that the Inquisition ardently seeks to uphold throughout the lands.

In a moment of lamentation, I uncovered these blasphemous acts. And as one of the few commanders of our Holy Inquisition, no justification can be found for such transgressions other than absolute banishment from our esteemed ranks.

Furthermore, preceding the aforementioned acts, an incident unfolded within the realm of Balian. Gavre Gaunt dared to interrupt a rightful persecution sanctioned by the King, pitifully turning a blind eye to their orders and offering assistance to a vagrant soul.

These grievous offenses, when culminated, have left me with no choice but to pass judgment upon Gavre Gaunt in the following manner—a bounty to be bestowed upon the first valiant soul who returns his officially issued 'Inquisitorial Saber,' for he is no longer deemed worthy to wield such a blade. As for his crimes, they are no longer within the purview of the Inquisition to address and dutifully have been passed on to those whom he hath wronged.

Let this missive echo through the annals of history as a solemn reminder of the unyielding commitment we, the defenders of the faith, must maintain in our tireless pursuit of justice and righteousness. May the divine light guide us all in these turbulent times.

Why have you decided to apply for the Moderation Team?

To bring a perspective never before seen. I've been banned three times, which gives me great insight from the eyes of a convict.

What is something you have always wanted to change on the server?

I've always wanted the server to be fair. At the moment, I think we should take a step to turn the server into an equalizer. One where regardless of who you are, your friends, and where you roleplay, you should have and deserve equal opportunity in gaining assistance via moderation and staff team.

What are your best & worst qualities?

My best quality is that I hold a heavy fist of justice and often realize when either side sways into the direction of darkness and evil. I am vengeance after all.

My worst quality is probably the fact that I am able to spend 40+ hours on lotc weekly. It is a very bad habit but all in all intrinsically helps my odds of joining this team.

Ban Selection

Griefing to bypass LWC, and breach of petty theft rules.

What circumstances led to this ban?

The events before the ban took place in an in game redstone casino (rather impressive), I had seen a chest through a window of a locked room and assumed that the goods from the casino were routed through such chest through hoppers etc. Being the naive and unintuitive person I used to be, I had come up with the insolent idea to break the rules. The details are fairly muddled due to the elapsed time, but to my best recollection. I used region permission to break a wall and to bypass a locked door in order to steal from a chest. Breaching the petty theft rule and taking more than allowed alongside the griefing to illegally enter the area in the first place. They can be completely avoided through following the rather simple rules put in place and to play the server fairly and not looking for an active way to steal and to take advantage of other players.

Are there aspects of the ban you agree and/or disagree with?

I agree with the aspects of the ban, for it was an obvious breeching of the rules and a complete slip on my part. It was completely acceptable for me to get banned and ultimately deserved wholy. I just would love to return to the game, I am submitting this appeal ticket ages after the appeal date posted on my ban mere

What motivates you to return to LOTC?

The thing that motivates me to return to LOTC is the community. It is something that i've missed since the day that I left. It is replicated nowhere else, such a cohesive community that no matter where you originate from, you will ultimately find a place to be accepted. That is essentially what I miss. I deserve the time given and I am begging for forgiveness in the form of an unban. I have served nearly double the ban time proposed and was hoping that it is enough to atone for the shortcomings that occured so many months ago.
