  1. Nagasena

    Nagasena

It was born in a town near a lake between Haense and Adria from a midwife named Fenarete and a sculptor named Sofronisco. As a child he was directed towards the study of the medical arts but, unlike his brothers Vajk and Emh, he immediately proved more inclined towards the war arts and thus decided to start extra training sessions in addition to those ordinarily provided so that he could always become harder. Here, in the school of war arts, he meets various friends, including Iachal, Fereak and Franvij. In an extra training session, during the period between winter and spring, the frozen lake on which he trained to develop balance and stability breaks and falls into the freezing water. He survives only thanks to the help of an elderly man who lived alone in the northern area between Haense and Andria, who takes care of him, warms him, makes new clothes and sends him home the next day. As a sign of gratitude Nagasena begins to go every day to the old man's hut with food. This recognizes the young boy's good dispositions and good spirits and reveals himself to him as an ancient master of an almost lost art of warfare called Gnuk Ihc. He also told him that he had participated in the Ironwood War and the Conquest of Ruswick. Thus he taught him a series of techniques hitherto unknown to him and refined his knowledge of the art of the sword and ax. The hard workouts end up strengthening his body and his character. One day, in a training session with his cousin Fahjok, he sees a Greymane boar approaching. His frightened cousin starts running and the boar, sensing the young man's insecurity, chases him. Nagasena thus grabs her long bow and aims straight at the boar's head, but misses her shot and the arrow hits the bear on the back, in the end, causing so little damage to the boar that it manages to hit Fahjok and kill him. From that day on, he began training with the longbow on a daily basis but achieved poor results, and his contempt for his inability to shoot with the longbow, fueled by remorse, began to grow. In the meantime, he continues to have lessons with the elderly teacher, to respect and honor his father and mother and to be on good terms with his brothers Vajk and Emh. One day a war breaks out with a neighboring language resulting from a feud caused by the infringement of the code of honor, and here he begins to distinguish himself, along with others, for his military prowess, thus increasing his fame. One day, at the age of around twenty, in a training session, he ends up injuring the other fighter due to an error. The contender's mother begins to cry for her son and Nagasena realizes the danger of the knowledge she has acquired. Thus he approaches Church of the Canon and tries to temper his previously very irascible and expansive character. He succeeds in this, but not completely, as his short temper is somehow replaced by stubbornness. At the age of twenty-eight, the elderly master decides to entrust him with the future of the teaching of the Gnuk Ihc and since then he suddenly disappears without leaving any trace except for a parchment on which he writes: "The perfect man has no ego, action perfect leaves no trace. He who aspires to everything, he must become nothing; he who seeks perfect action must not act. ". Since then Nagasena continued teaching and meditating on the words of her teacher, without however finding any answers. One day, going to his teacher's hut, where he still taught as a sign of reverence, he saw a man on the frozen lake warming himself by a small fire. He spoke to him, who revealed his name as Magnusson and who agreed to become his pupil so that he could acquire the knowledge that would help him in his mission, which was to do justice to his family.
