When Hans character was young he used to help his father Michael with his job. Michael was a merchant that sold and bought logs and other materials. They worked together for 4 years, (Hans was 7 when he started helping him out), after those 4 years Michael was killed during a raid, they were traveling between towns and went into a town when a raid was going on. The experience gave Hans PTSD, he was left with Michael's money, and a few things he could trade. While trading a man by the name of Tomathy saw Hans and was slightly impressed by Hans's haggling skills. Tomathy decided to take Hans under his wing, and would teach him how to get better at being a merchant, for a few coins. He taught Hans everything he knows now, and when Hans turned 18 Tomathy told Hans to go get himself money. That's when Han's adventure began. It's been a year since Hans started on his adventure, Hans moved to The kingdom of Norland in ALmaris, looking for a person who could teach him politics. Hans is currently thinking about moving to The Holy Orenian Empire, thinking that finding a person who's willing to teach him about politics might be easier.
( Hans does not know his birhtplace, since Michael was always traveling and had to take hans with him. Michael was also quite secretive about his past and who he sold things to, Hans's mother, Jane died because of frostbite, she was out in the snow and fell down a mountain braking her leg, she laid there until her body was found.)
