Kolvar Sagemire was born in the realm of Elvenesse, more specifically, Aegrothond. From a young age, it was obvious that he was going to be large. He was abnormally large even as a baby, so it was clear that his parents(that he doesn't even know or remember) were doubtful of keeping this child as they were already living in poverty, and a bastard child would not help them financially or socially. When he was young, his parents instilled the belief in the aspects, and they would pray every night. At the age of 8, Kolvar was left in a part of the woods when his father was showing him nature and it's beauty. He wandered for days yelling and crying his dad's name, to no avail. His dad never returned, and so he had to learn from an early age how to live on his own. He watched animals, and copied their mannerisms, and in doing so learned how to find berries and nuts to sustain himself. He kept watching animals and kept learning and eventually learned how to hunt using sticks as he wasn't quick enough with his hands or quiet enough due to his size to actually catch animals. It was in this way that he learned how to live. He attributed his ability to stay alive and persevere to the Aspects that he had been praying to while in the wilderness. At the age of 18, he started to wander more and more and eventually found structures, like those from his distant memories. Places that people live and sleep. He wandered into a house and decided to sleep there. Upon waking, there was another Wood Elf, around the same age as him, staring in disbelief. Kolvar was almost naked, sleeping on his bed, and was more confused than anything. His first reaction was to yell for the Siramenor guards to escort him out, but on second inspection decided to talk to him, and figure out what was going on. His speech was really hard to understand at first, but as he kept talking, he became better and easier to understand. He seemed childish in nature, due to not knowing random objects in Cereus Middlemist's small house. They stayed together for around 5 years, learning from each other. Cereus Middlemist noticed how keen Kolvar was to hunting and food gathering, and in return for food would teach him a more civilized but nomadic way of living, and would teach him basic skills like reading and making a bed. Kolvar caught on quickly to society as he was just tapping into his past, but it was hard to let some of his lifestyle go. He would occasionally sleep in a tree instead of inside as that's what he was used to for a decade. He would slowly catch on and learned of Cereus Middlemist's ambitions to have his own inn. As Kolvar's only family now, he decided that he would do anything that he could to help him with his dream. ***Quick Note: I know the living in the wilderness thing is overplayed, but this is what made the most sense and was most interesting to my friend and I to incorporate a hunter that wants to help someone run an Inn. We didn't see a reason as to why someone who was skilled in hunting would not pursue a career more focused in that, and would rather want to help with an inn***
