They gave her to a neighbor, Sammy, who made her keep his house clean. A wood elf helped her get food, and put her in touch with some dwarves, who took her by cart to a different area. She lived with them for a while, helping to look after some baby dwarves before moving to live with other halflings not known to her parents, who thought she was pretty cool!
